What can I say about this amazing lady. My mom had a very strong will to live and wanted to be with her 4 children. Even at the very end she said she wanted to be with us as long as she could. She loved talking to all of us even if it was just us venting to her about our day. Mom is truly missed every day. Love you mom and I am glad you are no longer in pain. I know you are in heaven with Grandma just watching over us with a huge smile.

The first time I heard this poem it brought tears to my eyes... I feel it is a bit fitting for Mama.
Epitaph by Merrit Malloy:
When I die
Give what’s left of me away
To children
And old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry,
Cry for your brother
Walking the street beside you.
And when you need me,
Put your arms
Around anyone
And give them
What you need to give to me.
I want to leave you something,
Something better
Than words
Or sounds.
Look for me
In the people I’ve known
Or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live on in your eyes
And not your mind.
You can love me most
By letting
Hands touch hands,
By letting bodies touch bodies,
And by letting go
Of children
That need to be free.
Love doesn’t die,
People do.
So, when all that’s left of me
Is love,
Give me away

Mama loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Upon your arrival to her house she would immediately want to take and hide your car keys so you couldn't leave.
In response to "What did Lela love to do?"

She was a mother that loved us all and had a giant love of life. She loved to laugh and make those around her laugh also. We all wish she was still here and that we will miss her so much. Just remember who she was and how much she loved us.
