Lefty spent most of his life in Northern California before reuniting with his family in 2023.
As the fifth of seven children, Lefty cherished his family deeply. Despite past struggles and challenges that separated him from his loved ones, Lefty made amends and reunited with his father, Gary Linscott, Sr., and his siblings in 2023. He looked up to his brother James for support and family guidance . Lefty loved all his siblings, who were his life and priority. He cherished time spent with Beverly, Gary, James and his youngest brother, Michael, and recently reconnected with his sister Luana, with whom he maintained a close bond through regular phone calls and letters. He also made contact with his sister Christina, calling her from time to time.
Tragically, his time with them was cut short, and he passed away just one month after the sudden loss of his brother Michael. Lefty's infectious humor, kindness, and charming personality left an indelible mark on the hearts of many in the Homeland and Hemet areas in such short time . His iconic Popeye voice and contagious smile , Lefty's sleek, classy style was only matched by his quick wit and infectious humor. With his silly personality shining through, he was a true showstopper who could light up any room. Music was a passion that brought him immense joy and sadness , as he loved belting out his favorite song by Jessy Howard -Nu Breed ‘Little Boy And The Preacher Man’ as well as many classic/modern country tunes, especially George Jones classics, alongside the singing crowd, letting his voice blend in perfect harmony.. Lefty will be deeply missed by his family and friends, including his cherished niece, Jessica Linscott; close friend Curtis, with whom he shared a home for a time; Debra Coffman, his trusted confidante; and close friends Michelle, Robert and Scott. Lefty fondly regarded his friends Wayne Hoppe and Allen Cummins, as brothers whom he adored.
Sadly, Lefty never got to learn about the upcoming arrival of his granddaughter, due in March 2025, whom he would have been proud to welcome.
Rest in peace, Lefty L. Linscott. His love, laughter, and legacy will never be forgotten. Memories of him will be cherished forever.
