Leeta's obituary
Leeta was born May 25th 1938 in Melrose Mass to mother Ruth Harrington and father US Hockey Hall of famer Leland “Hago” Harrington.
Leeta was raised and lived most of her life in Melrose Mass until she moved to South Carolina to be with her daughter after retiring. She spent the majority of her career as a nurse working in Elder Care facilities in the Boston area. She loved to read. Her favorite place was the beach, particularly Ipswich Mass where she spent summers as a child with extended family. She also adored the Ballet. It was a big part of her life from a young age since her mother worked for the Boston Ballet and her sister was a principal dancer in the New York City Ballet. She also loved to travel, especially with her sister.
Leeta was proceeded in death by both her parents, and brother Allen Cummings. Leeta was mother to Mary Sue ODonnell of Summerville SC and sister to Sally Harrington of New City NY.
There will be a private memorial held at a later date.
