It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Lee McDaniel on August 17, 2025. Born on March 12, 1949, Lee lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and resilience.
Lee is survived by his sons, Jesse and Robert, and step-children, Becky, David, and Gary Church. Each of these individuals was a source of immense pride for him. He instilled in them a strong sense of family and the importance of standing by one another.
Predeceased by his father Vern, mother Echo, brothers Delbert, Cortland, Dwayne, Lewis, and Martin, and his beloved wife, Kay; Lee is also survived by his sisters, Phillis McDaniel and Hazel Sherman, and his brother, David McDaniel. They will all remember him as a pillar of strength and a beacon of guidance in their family.
A retired Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard, Lee dutifully and honorably served his country for 31 years. He was a strait forward kind of man who was respected and admired by his peers and subordinates for his professional integrity and personal strength. He was not just a serviceman, but also a loving husband, a caring father, and a mentor to many.
Apart from his devotion to his duty, Lee was a man of simple pleasures. He loved watching old Westerns, playing softball and herding sheep. His personality was a beautiful amalgamation of discipline, simplicity and steadfastness.
His loss leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled. As we mourn his departure, we also celebrate his remarkable life and honor his invaluable contributions. His memory will forever remain in our hearts and he will be greatly missed.
