Lee's obituary
During his life, Lee made a number of strong friendships, many who remained close to him throughout his adult life. He is remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor, passionate love for golf, and conservative views. He is remembered as an avid reader of westerns and crime novels; and his passionate love of mom and pop delis, Cupid's chili dogs, and breakfast food. He is most remembered for being generous and kind, even to strangers.
After battling depression and alcoholism in his 30s and early 40s, Lee embraced sobriety and became a great father, while raising his two teenage sons and daughter. Lee was very active in his children's lives, volunteering countless hours in band, sports, and school activities, and regular trips to the movies, golf courses, or to eat a meal. In his later life, Lee became a close adviser to all three of his adult children and grandchildren, acting as patriarch, confidant and friend to all. He will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace, Lee. We love you very much. GFY.
