Larry easily became an integral part of our lake culture in Orono. He was a sweet and kind gentleman. We will miss him.

I was so sad to hear of Larry’s passing. In 1957 and 1958, I was lucky enough to work on the farm with my brother Dick and Larry… helping Phip and Roger paint a huge henhouse…picked eggs on the range along with the occasional egg fight, helped with chicken Barbecue’s at local camps…and there was always the late afternoon waterskiing. It was such a special time!
Great memory of hosting Helen and Larry at Fenway Park where we had their names put up on the Jumbotron. There were so happy!
Our Grandmother was Flossie’s sister and the Morse family always felt extraordinary close to the Thurrell family… a wonderful family!
We will miss them always,
Love to the entire Thurrell family
Phil Morse

Marian and the entire Thurrell family, my condolences go out to each of you in the loss of your Dad. Though I never worked directly with Larry, he always was so kind and friendly when our paths crossed at work. May Larry now R.I.P.

I'm so sorry to hear about Larry. For years we played nickle-dime poker every month. Larry was a great player and I can still see his smile when he bluffed a pot. I will miss him.

I adored Larry. At my ripe old age of 14, I was sure he meant it when he said "he'd wait for me". Well, let me tell you, the first time I met Helen I told her I hated her because she stole "my" Larry from me. Many years of playing backgammon, water skiing, and visiting have passed since then and I still love them both.
