Lawrence Reuben Smith, affectionately known as “Dawg” or “Smitty,” passed away peacefully at his home in Alamogordo, New Mexico, on October 14, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born on November 3, 1948, in Batavia, New York, Lawrence lived a life rooted in family, service, and fun. Lawrence grew up in Corfu, New York and lived there until he joined the United States Air Force in 1969. Lawrence served his country for 20 years before …
