Lawrence Olusola Owoputi, age 58 of Plum Borough, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 after a six-and-a-half-year heroic battle with cancer. He is the loving husband of Mojisola; amazing father of Ibukun, Olutobi, and Olaoluwa; brother to Rachel, Ayo, Festus, and Daramola and friend and uncle to many others. He was born in Owo, Ondo State in Nigeria and migrated to Canada in 1989 in order to complete his PhD at the University of Saskatchewan. After completing his degree, he moved to the USA and settled down in Pittsburgh, PA working as a civil engineer for Advanced Technology Systems (now Hatch Engineering) and later became an independent businessman. He touched the lives of many and is survived by many friends all over the world. He will be severely missed. He loved life, his family, his friends, and most of all his God. He was a Pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Rehoboth Assembly. He was a dedicated leader in the African Christian Fellowship (ACF) Pittsburgh Chapter and the East Region.

Friends will be received on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 10 am until the time of the service at Noon at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC (MONROEVILLE / PLUM CHAPEL) corner of Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Interment will follow at Plum Creek Cemetery. There will then be a celebration of life at the Double Tree Hotel, 101 Mall Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146, starting at 2 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2019. There will also be a service of songs on Friday, November 29, 2019 at RCCG Living Spring Int. Pittsburgh, 900 Penn Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221, at 6 PM prompt.
