Lawrence's obituary
Larry was born on March 22, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the youngest son of the late Clarence and Margaret (Richter) Griffith. Larry met Betty, his loving wife of almost 59 years, while attending Hughes High School, where he graduated in 1959. Larry graduated from the Ohio College of Applied Science with an Engineering degree and worked at LeBlond before he began working for GE Aviation in 1965 - first as a draftsman and later as a Design Engineer - until he retired in 2001.
Larry loved gardening , canning, his Shelties and playing in his softball leagues. He was well known for his sarcastic humor. He also loved serving as a Deacon in the United Church of God.
Larry is survived by his wife Betty, daughters: Joni Griffith, Beth Griffith and Kris (Brian) Brown; six grandchildren: Kierstyn (Chris) Hargraves, Scott O'Bryan, Erik (Christy) Cowell, Jake O'Bryan, Grant O'Bryan and Nick Brown; and one great-granddaughter Aria Hargraves, as well as several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his great-grandson Caysen Cowell and his two brothers, James and Robert Griffith.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at The United Church of God, 555 Technecenter Drive, Milford, OH 45150. Visitation with the family is at 4:30 and a service at 5:30. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
A special thank you to all of the family and friends for their loving support during his final year.
