Larry Sr.'s obituary
Lawrence "Larry" Donoher Sr., better known as Larry, was born on September 18, 1939, and sadly passed away on October 28, 2020. He is survived by his brother Robert, and sisters Karen and Kathy. Predeceased by his mother Anna and father Leo, he is survived by his children Deb, Larry, and John. Larry will also be remembered by his beloved grandchildren Joseph, Michael, Lucas, Daniel, Lauren, Bryan, and Erin, as well as his great granddaughter Audrey, all with whom he loved spending his time with. Larry celebrated more than 30 years of sobriety and fulfilled one of his purposes in life by sponsoring and supporting others throughout their sobriety journey in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Larry was known to be a jokester with his funny, yet wise personality. He shared many life stories and lessons, and he never failed to offer up some of "Grandpa's Useless Information" to his grandchildren.
Some of Larry's greatest accomplishments included serving in the United States Military, getting and staying sober, remaining in AA and sponsoring others for over 30 years. His love for the Philadelphia Eagles was only surpassed by his sudden love for milkshakes, sometimes enjoying two in a day (and asking for a third), hand-delivered by his granddaughter at 2 or 3 in the morning towards the end of his life.
Larry's hysterically dry humor and sarcastic nature will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love, support, and wisdom will live on through the lives of his family and those he helped in AA.
