Larry's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Lawrence "Larry" Carter. Born on July 20, 1945, he departed from this life on May 9, 2022 in an airplane on his way to Alaska. Known for his dry sense of humor and his wise counsel that "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is", Larry left an indelible print on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Larry leaves behind his daughter, Angela (Carter) Pryce; his sister, Betty (Carter) Knox; his granddaughter, Meredith Pryce; his grandson, Griffith Pryce; son-in-law, Rick Pryce; many nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rubi (Blevins) Carter, whom he married in 1963; his mother, Hallie (Sargent) Carter; his father, Orville Carter; and his brothers, Jerry, Dale, Burel, and Orville Jr. Carter.

Larry unconditionally loved his family and always recounted so many funny stories that will be cherished and passed on through generations. He served four years in the United States Army, a period of his life he always referred to with great pride. Following his service, he embarked on a career at the Newark Ohio Air Force Station and in 1985 became an engineer with Boeing. He loved his job with Boeing and it was a role he performed with dedication and skill.

In the wake of his passing, his memories, lessons, accomplishments, and stories remain. His life was a testament to his resilience, strength, love for life, and commitment to his family. Larry's legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him.
