Lawrence Michael Andresen passed peacefully Monday February 3rd at 9:30am at the age of 61
Larry was born in Portland Oregon to his Father Carl Andresen (passed in 1992) and his Mother Judy Andresen (age 86)
The 3rd of 5 children. Brother Kenneth (passed in 2018) Sister Katherine (passed 2010) Sister Teresa, and Sister Elizabeth (Bizzie)
Lived in Portland as a young child before moving to Mulino Or then Oregon city Or and Canby Or. He Briefly lived in Texas in his 20’s and Arizona later in life (part time) then permanently off Johnson creek blvd until moving in with his sister Teresa in Milwaukie where he has lived the last 6 yrs until his passing
His Nephew Jordan Stroy who was like a son to him was his main caregiver throughout his cancer treatments and doctor appointments. By his side the whole journey
Larry was surrounded by love with family and friends
Larry was known fondly as a “daredevil” and thrill seeker which led him to hiking and mountain climbing with his close friends. He also organized countless camping trips with the family to his favorite spot at Olallie lake. But he was most known for his passion of race car driving. He had his nascar drivers license and raced at Portland speedway in his car #21 winning many awards.
He had a successful career in auto body painting and was a master! Once painting a car that eventually Jerry Seinfeld purchased in 1997. Cars and racing were his life’s passion. Building car models, online racing, and building a vast collection of race car memorabilia. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt #3
For the last 20 years he worked as an RV repair man and transporter driving RV’s from across the country. Many trips he took with his nephew Jordan exploring and making memories along the way
He was a movie enthusiast with a vast knowledge of dates and actors dating back to the 1940’s
Larry was known for his sarcasm and commitment to BS but his heart was made of pure gold! You knew that Larry loved you if he made your blood boil one minute then the next he was doing something very kind for you.
He had many long time friends that he continued to get together weekly throughout the years and they all surrounded him with love during his final days.
Larry was very close to his family and all had a chance to say their last farewells with the love and comfort he gave to us all throughout our lives
Larry was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure
