LaVrenia Elvira Worley, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 28, 2025, at 1:30 PM EST at UPMC Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born on December 28, 1945, to Wyce and Iola Surgeon in Lebanon, Oregon, LaVrenia was the youngest of five children. She lived a rich life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. LaVrenia was preceded in death by her parents, Wyce and Iola Surgeon; siblings Lynn, John, and Tommy Lee Surgeon; her beloved husband of 43 years, Kenneth J. Worley Jr.; and her grandson, David A. Vickers Jr. She is survived by her sister, Alna Hatcher, and brother, Roger Surgeon, both of Oregon; her daughters, Lynette (Rick) McCartney of Mills, Wyoming, and Ginger Worley of Trafford, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Scott McCartney and Jessica McCartney of Wyoming, and Abigail (Blake) McClelland and Kali (Dave) Pollino of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and her great-grandchildren, Bailey, Carson, and Cooper McCartney of Wyoming, and Devin and Dominic Pollino of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. LaVrenia will be cremated, and her ashes will be laid to rest alongside her husband in New Florence, Missouri, this summer.
