Laveta was my sister, Janet Newby’s very close friend. I’d been thinking about her. Such a wonderful kind person! 

She actually did come and play the piano for a school program many years ago. So sorry for her family! 💔

Laveta Purvis was a member of our Apartments complex for many years, She was a great Tenant, Neighbor and Friend. She would join various social groups that included recipe swaps, potlucks and other food related activities. She checked in on her neighbors having lunch with them when she could. She was a joy to have here and will be greatly missed.
