Laurie was my aunt, so I called her Auntie! She was always there as we were growing up and into our adult lives. These days you don't see family stay as close, but she was a light in my world. She was onery and funny and always had a smile on. She would include and joke with us even as children. When we were young, we spent a lot of time at our great-grandmothers house eating her amazing green chili. Grandma would cook and fold burritos for us and the parents would mingle while the children played outside or in a back room. You could literally feel the love in those moments. These are some of my most fond memories of Auntie Laurie. Now the green chili tradition has been passed down through the generations and remains a favorite past time for all of us.
I have lived very far away for a large part of my adult life so it was always the best when me and my family would come home to visit, and she would make sure to come enjoy family time with us. Those family moments with her, I will miss the most. I am so grateful to have known her love and joy. Love you Auntie!

I was very sadden to hear of Laurie’s passing, my heart is heavy. She and I were good work buddies for many years. I met her in 1995 at Polk. And then we met up again at Datalogix years later. I had such admiration for her. We’d take walks at lunch, and laugh and laugh about silly stuff. She was a good person in every way and will be greatly missed. My condolences go out to her entire family. Mell

I loved Laurie’s bright smile and soft laugh. I will miss my friend, but I know we will see each other again in heaven someday, where we will pick up right where we left off. My heart and prayers go out to Laurie’s family.

My heart is breaking. I met Laurie in 1990 and we became friends right off the bat. Laurie was always there for me and she really knew how to make me laugh. No matter how much stress was happening. She would light up a room with her smile. Everytime we were together we made it the best time it could be. I have so many treasured moments & memories of times spent with her. Laurie was such a good friend of mine and I will miss her dearly and she will be loved forever. ❤️❤️❤️

I remember when we were much younger, we spent a lot of time together. When it was time for me to go home Laurie and sometimes Lynn would walk me halfway
