Laurie's obituary
Born in New Jersey but claimed San Francisco as her true home, Laurie lived a life full of love, laughing until she would wheeze, and perfectly teased hair that defied gravity and any explanation. She was the kind of woman who could make the cosmetic aisle feel like an adventure and her stories feel like epic tales worthy of an audience.
Her patience and kindness knew no bounds.
Laurie was a trailblazer in a male-dominated industry, she shattered glass ceilings with the same grace and determination she brought to everything else in her life.
But Laurie’s talent didn’t stop there. She had a way of turning music into magic and could whip up a gourmet meal in minutes. Laurie loved big, listened well, and always left a little sparkle wherever she went. She had a way with words that was unmatched.
She is survived by her children, Chad and Gabrielle Davis, her grandchildren whom she adored more than anything, Adeline and Austin Montanez, and a few of her most favorite sisters.
Laurie was known to her grand babies as Llama and she loved the name. She loved nothing more than being a grandmother and would go see them as often as possible, even when her back or hip weren't playing nicely. She spent her time with the children drawing, painting, cooking, teaching them to read, and doing boop-boops (makeup) with Addie. The children love her with all their hearts and frequently talk about their beloved Llama and how much they miss her. Her children also love and miss her terribly and have grown much closer to each other since her passing.
In her honor, tease your hair a little higher, sing your heart out, love with your enitre being, and take a moment to pause in the makeup aisle.
