Laurie Cutler Kalanges, 65 of Pine Plains, New York, born January 14, 1960 unexpectedly left this earth on September 22, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Middletown, New York to Thomas and Mary (Swindell) Cutler. She graduated from Pine Bush High School and quickly began working. Laurie spent decades working at Taconic DDSO caring for adults with disabilities.

One of her proudest moments was celebrating sixteen years of sobriety. She touched every heart she met, cared and loved deeply for her friends and family. Laurie loved all things nature. Her favorite things to do was read a good book, tye-dye, and absolutely loved the ocean. Music was something she craved and it brought her great happiness.

Laurie is survived by her fiancé of four years Edwin “Squid” Coates of New York. Her children, son Christoper Kalanges, daughter Katey Longo, and her husband Timothy Longo. As well as two granddaughters, Charlie and Hayes. She is also survived by her fiancé's children Sarah Coates, Robert Coates, And Tyler Coates. Many friends including her best friend waskly wabbit Bunny Durant. In addition she has her friend Becky, her son JT and of course her loving hippie family.

Laurie is predeceased by her parents and her brother Thomas “Tommy’ Culter. Not to be forgotten she lost her truest companion, her dog, Nugget of seventeen years.

Loved and missed, never forgotten. A celebration of Life will take place Spring 2026 location to be announced which will include live music and dancing in her honor.
