Laurie's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Laurie Cebula on February 8, 2025. Born on November 28, 1962, Laurie lived a vibrant and full life, loved and cherished by many.

Laurie was an extraordinarily loving and nurturing soul. She had an infectious zest for life, characterized by her fun-loving personality and her Italian heritage. She was creative and artistic, with a passion for the arts that encompassed everything from Gustav Klimt to Picasso, Van Gogh to Matisse. Laurie also had an exquisite taste in literature, with a particular fondness for the works of Gabriel Garcia.

Music played a significant role in Laurie's life as she relished the sounds of Prince, Michael Jackson, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. A woman of many hobbies, Laurie enjoyed rollerblading, writing, and dancing. She also had a soft spot for crafting with her children and grandchildren.

Laurie took great pleasure in spending time with her family, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, and relaxing with a good cup of tea. Her nurturing spirit was evident in the love and care she poured into all aspects of her life, but perhaps most notably in her relationships with her friends and family.

Laurie is survived by her devoted spouse, Michael Cebula; her beloved children, Leigh Cebula, Jeffrey Cebula, and Gina Cebula; her cherished grandsons, Jaiden Holland, Dominick Cebula, and Roman Cebula; and her caring siblings, Amelia Bogdal, Kathy Conte, sister-in-law Cindy Barush, and brother-in-law Gary Barush.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Rose Conte. And brother in law Marc Cebula. Laurie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her genuine warmth, her vivacious spirit, and her radiant love. She will be deeply missed.
