Lauren was vivacious, loving, kind and a wonderful person.  Watching her blossom into a successful, generous young woman was a pleasure and honor.  We spent holidays together.  When Andrew came along it completed the perfect picture for Lauren and our family.  Today in remembering her I send my love to Andrew Nancy, Thomas Jenn and her family. as well as the Benjamins, Heinles Fitzgeralds and Rookes.   You are all in my thoughts and thank-you for always including me in her life.  Your cousin, Jo-Anne  Rooney             PS Give the dog a hug too.
Happy Birthday Lauren! We love and miss you.
Miss you every damn day Laurd…

Lauren would have been celebrating like this for her birthday
Dear Tommy and Nancy,
Irma and I are again deeply sorry. Sending prayers to you all.

Sincerely,
Paul and Irma
I cannot imagine the void you must feel. I just found out about her passing today. Mary Hough called to tell me about a friend from CHS who just died. She said I am also so sorry about your cousin's daughter. I had no idea what she was talking about. No, you must be mistaken . But,she was not.
At the time of Lauren's passing Elaine was in the hospital in an induced coma due to not being able to breath on her own . I think her bout with Covid was more serious than showed. It was very touch and go. This event consumed me daily and I cannot believe I never knew until now. I had also been quarantined.
A heartfelt thank-you:
Thank-you for the many Christmases ,Thanksgivings and Easters we spent together, I loved watching your girls grow up and become the fine women they are and always will be . One of the comforts in all of this sadness is that Lauren will always be that young, beautiful, vivacious girl , who smiled and mended what needed fixing.

As my family entered your house Lauren would come right over and say hello She would take an interest in anything you had to say , and refer to it later on because she really had listened. I loved to watch her mill around Chef Tom as he checked the meat thermometer or she made you a drink. Nancy would walk by and a quick hug was always given.

We shared a love of dogs and often exchanged dogmom stories. My little rascals from the shelter and her dogs were very lucky. But, we always agreed that we were not really sure who rescued who . My philosophy: if you love a dog ,then you love ,and are loved by mankind, and that she was.

I always told her she had a Cheshire cat grin . Something was amiss in that twinkle coming from her eyes. She could not help but be the celestial being she was for her family are giving, kind, and above all very loyal. Those traits were in her DNA for sure.

Some of my favorite photos are the yearly group shots in front of that huge fireplace . I guess it reminds me of how lucky we all are to have known and loved each other . That will sustain us as we are forced to say adieu to Lauren, but never goodbye.

I am reminded of Jon Val Jon from Les Miserable who sings "Gone too soon" as a young rebel boy lay across the divide between the patriots and the citizens. She is gone too soon and why , will probably haunt us forever. Yet, her essence and spirit will also sustain us with joy and pride for having known such a person as Lauren. I am so grateful I am included and will have my memories of her . In my mind I thought of her as the "CALY_- Girl", blonde , tan ,million dollar smile, makin' her way and settin' the coast on fire.

To Andrew, I never saw Lauren as happy as she was when with you, and she was a pretty happy person. May her kindred spirit within your dog fill you with strength as you go on those walks at the beach and take solace in being together. A dog can be a wonderful gift when the heart aches and senses loss. He will be missing her too, help each other .
God bless and keep you both .

Mary and Ed, Anna Mae and Harry ,Rita and Bob, Mr. Rooke and so many others beware the party planner is now on staff and she'll be keeping you all very busy up there.

Love you Nancy, Tom ,Jenn , Andrew, and the entire families connected to Lauren , lest we forget the four legged ones in the mix. I am blessed to have been part of what has always been joyous life celebrations with you. God bless you all and help you heal from this sadness of one "Gone too soon!"
Your Cousin, Jo-Anne and Reisen
I only knew you briefly, through text, for a planned wine trip thanks to Courtney and could already tell you had that type of personality that was magnetic. We were supposed to enjoy the day at Coppola’s pool, but the fires of this past year had other plans. Clearly the universe did too, and I’m so sad I never got to meet you in person. I never tire of your stories that I get to live through your memory shared by Courtney. I’m happy to help her “Live Like Lauren” and hope to honor your memory by doing the same. Rest In Paradise, beautiful.
So sad to learn of your loss. Thinking of you and your family - Jon R
Lauren was such a joy to work with - smart as all get-up, strategic, witty, hilarious, and FUN. I always looked forward to our calls ...highlight of my week by far. Loved her optimism too! She will be greatly missed by many.

I worked with Lauren at Google for many years in Cambridge and even trained her when she started...I can't remember the last time I saw her, it must have been a work conference after she moved, but all of my memories of her are of a loving, caring and vibrant person, who was an amazing friend. Lauren - you will very much be missed. Thinking of you always.

Nancy and Tom, my heart goes out to you and Lauren’s husband and your family. There is such sorrow in losing a daughter, a wife and family member so abruptly. I wish you peace in days to come. Reading about Lauren and her kindness and generosity reminded me of you, Nancy. With sympathy, Julia Sullivan Anderson
