Lala with Flat Stanley (?) at the Sydney Olympic Pool during the Duel in the Pool between Australia and the USA
Lala and I became online friends due to our love of Olympic swimming and in particular our love of of the Australian champion Ian Thorpe. Although I was far away in Melbourne, Australia, we communicated regularly and shared a lot of laughs. I was lucky enough to visit and stay with her in the USA twice (and on one of those visits she took me to meet her beautiful parents and other family), and was delighted to host her when she came to Australia in 2007. I introduced her to my own parents and siblings and they all loved her, especially my dad. Lala sent me a kind message when Dad died in December 2024, which was the last time we exchanged messages. I loved her a lot and miss her very much.

Lauren was so sweet we knew her for years. She was my mom's and my hairdresser when I was younger until end of high-school.Β  She had become a family friend. She was the sweetest.Β
Lauren was one of the kindest, funniest women I've ever met, I know how much she'll be missed by all her family and friends.Β  Rest well.
Lauren was so sweet and kind. She definitely left an impact on all those who were blessed to know her.Β
Pippin! Lauren was a wonderful actress and so very kind especially to the younger cast members. She is sorely missed!
I love and miss you Lala.
