Laurelle's obituary

It is with a heavy heart I announce the passing of my sister Laurelle Lynn Zarins, born on September 16, 1967, who departed this life on January 2, 2026. The last eight months of her life, she fought with all she had to overcome her health obstacles. Laurelle was a kindhearted, gentle, and loving soul who cared deeply for those around her. She had a deep love for animals, found joy in music, and cherished moments sitting outside in the sun. She loved a crisp Coke and enjoyed partaking in the devil's lettuce. She had a wicked sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her. Even though she was small in stature, her spirit was mighty.

She will be forever missed by her mother Sandra Doney; her sisters Jennifer Zeigenbein, Theodora Doney and Nicole Toscano; Nicole's husband David Toscano; beloved niece Zoe Athena,  nephews Antonio and Spencer; and Aunt Diane Merriman.

I love you, Laurelle. Thank you for being my sister, and for all of the things that you taught me. I am a better person because of you, and I thank you for that. I also want to thank you for hanging on through one last holiday season for the sake of all of us, because that was just your kind and generous nature.

Until we meet again Laurelle - fly high with your free spirit and may you now see the world clearly. Enjoy your adventures.

Thank you for visiting me and watching over all of us.

Love Forever,

Your sister Nicole
