Laurence and I didn't know each other very well, but I did get to know him the last 10 months of his life. I had open heart surgery at the end of 2023. I was released from the hospital on January 31st 2024 after spending 3 months  in the hospital homeless with no place to go. Laurence being the kind hearted person he was invited me to come and hang out with him.. That was the first day that I had met Toni , who soon became my new landlord .. She asked me that evening  where I was living I explained that I was living at Hamilton general hospital for the past 3 months and had no where to go and she offered me to live in her basement .. So because of Laurence bringing her and I together I was no longer homeless anymore.... Which I had been since October 2022 when my bf at that time bad a massive heart attack and died ..Laurence Shields was one of the kindness most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing I will miss him deeply.. God rest his soul.. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN MY DEAR FRIEND ..
