Laura's obituary

Laura Eve Schlotfeldt, age 55, passed away on Tuesday, November 22nd in Atascosa, Texas, surrounded by loving family. Laura was born August 8th, 1967 in Abilene, Texas to Ed and Donna Hamilton. She was a graduate of Don Antonio Lugo High School, in Chino, California. After modeling, Laura served honorably in the United States Army for 10 years, including an assignment in Sinop, Turkey where she met her future husband, Mark. They resided in Augsburg, Germany; Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Wiesbaden, Germany; and Monterey, California together before finally moving to San Antonio, Texas. Those that knew her remember her as a loving, creative, ambitious, and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother “Lolly.” She consistently gave generously of her time and resources to her Church, community, and family. Laura successfully organized and supported numerous community outreaches and events. She also guided more than 500 couples into joyful matrimony. Her commitment to God, faith, and family was an example for all to emulate. Laura is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Mark Schlotfeldt; five children, Roemen (Holly) Schlotfeldt, Oliver (Katelynn) Schlotfeldt, Landon (Alexa) Schlotfeldt, Gracie Schlotfeldt, and Reina Schlotfeldt; parents, Ed and Donna Hamilton, siblings Deborah (Hamilton) Mohline, Paul Hamilton, Torrey Hamilton, and Christina (Hamilton) Lloyd; and four grandsons. She lived to declare the Glory of God.
