Celebrating our August Birthdays with the Gals

Laura (El Prez ), from the moment we met, your fierce love for your kids was so apparent. Of course you were team parent for soccer, of course you were PTA president ( El Prez ), of course you were classroom lead parent, etc., etc., etc. You loved everyone in your orbit so greatly and so generously and your kids, most of all. For more than three decades, you and I laughed and loved our way thru this world. You dubbed me Vish ( a take on Sid Vicious thanks to my given name and also Swish, because you ‘colorized’ and elevated everything ). You brightened everything and everyone around you. I’m pretty sure I bested you over the years with tacky, kitschy gifts, but we’ll settle that later when I see you again. We’ll never stop smiling as we hold you in our hearts.

Laura AKA Stella, Your light burns forever in my heart and your free spirit lives on within all those you have touched. Your class, humor, and humility opened my eyes to seeing the world as you do. You are my forever friend, etched with memories of laughter and sharing both good times and bad, fun times and struggles; you taught me how to live and find the humor in our day-to-day existence. If no fun was happening, we would create it! If all the people you 've touched is any measure of what kind of person you are, your spirit outshines the rest. Now, I know I will see you again and we will pick up where we left off........Three Peas in a Pod. In the meantime, you told me the last time we talked in early December, you would be returning permanently to seventh grade, I can only envision the antics!

Oh Laura ! I miss your laughter as upon picking up the telephone, the exuberance that roared outta you, is and always shall be infectious. Your words were words ... yet, seemed like you were encapsulating each person with a deep fierceness - never to be forgotten. You showed up! You tried and kept trying.
You'd share your love for your children within every conversation. You spoke with pure love about your in-laws and beloved grandbabies. Then, in only your style, you'd laugh ... and say, "well, what the hell are we talking about my life and loves for .... what the hell about you?" The laughter ! The jovial spirit. That girl dancing around the sport fields while her kids' played.
You showed us that music, good food, love and good times are not be taken for granted. You showed us that living truths is not a fallacy. You showed us that time is tender ... and with that thought we know you are at peace dancing like no one is watching, laughing with reckless abandon and loving from afar as your children and family are a testament to your greatness. We are a testament of how far your reach truly is. We shall miss you terribly. Thank you for showing up !
