It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Latasha Francis Copeland, born on May 22, 1986, who left us too soon on November 27, 2023. Known to most as Tasha. A woman of strength and resilience, Latasha's memory will forever be treasured by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted brother, Rondell Copeland, her two loving sons Avante James Ryan, and Paul M. Jabari Lumpkin, and her beloved daughters, Key-Aurah McCayla Lumpkin and Bre’vela Copeland.  Latasha was predeceased by her dear brother, A. C. Jerome Jemison-Copeland, and her beloved mother and father , Mary F. Copeland and Arthur Jemison.

Latasha's life was a testament to the power of self-belief and courage. She lived by the principle of always standing up for oneself – a lesson she imprinted on everyone she met. Her biggest treasure in life were her children. Whom she often referred to as her four beautiful legacies. Her memory will live on in them and is sure to be a guiding light in their lives.

Latasha’s life was one of persistent resilience, and she leaves behind a radiant legacy of courage and love. Her family, friends, and loved ones will continue to honor her spirit by living their lives with the same steadfast courage with which she lived hers. Her absence will be deeply felt, and she will be profoundly missed. While our hearts ache in her physical absence, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on through her children,. We bid her farewell with the simple, yet heartfelt words, "You will be missed, Latasha."
