I’m not sure if this is a story or just a memory.
I remember Lars from an early age as he worked with my dad on the Pacific Glacier. I remember his mustache, I remember being a party that was for adults, and I’m sure I wasn’t supposed to be there but there a fit to go and my parents had now choice. I remember him and Kim dancing, and I just thinking how wonderful it was.
Years later I would get to know him much better when my dad was going through a rough time. Lars was the best friend there ever could be. He was loyal, and concerned. I know after hearing many stories about him in the past three years that this is just how Lars was. He truly cared about everyone. He was honest, in the best way. He would tell you how it was straight up. If you are a jerk, he would let you know. If you were wrong— he would let you know. And god do we need more people like that in this world.
I know that Lars taught us all a lessons. He taught me to be a better friend, and to not hold my tongue. I am so thankful I got to know him and his family 💙
