Larry William Martin (86) of Austell passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020 following a brief illness. Larry was born November 23, 1933 in Blue Mountain, AL. He grew up in northern Alabama, but was a long-time resident of the Atlanta (Cobb County), GA area. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69yrs, Mrs. Mamie Cox Martin. In addition, he also leaves behind 2 daughters and 1 son, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Larry worked as a construction superintendent for most of his life, building shopping centers around the southeast. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. After retirement, he devoted most of his time to gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. The body will be cremated and the family will hold a small private memorial ceremony at a later date.
