Larry's obituary

Larry L. Tice Jr., 67, of Wellsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on May 27, 1957, in East Liverpool, Larry was the eldest son of Elizabeth Tice and the late Larry L. Tice Sr. He spent his entire life in the area, graduating from Southern Local High School before attending Youngstown State University.

After dedicating 25 years to Summitville Tile, Larry joined the Steubenville Walmart Distribution Center, where he became a valued team member known for his problem-solving abilities, especially in fulfilling the needs of local retail stores. He retired in 2023 after nearly 20 years of service.

An outdoorsman at heart, Larry found joy in nature, spending countless hours hunting and fishing in his younger years. He also had a competitive spirit, especially when it came to playing ping pong and Euchre. Larry had a lifelong thirst for knowledge and a passion for new experiences. Not only did Larry love learning, but he also loved sharing his knowledge by guiding and mentoring his family and friends. Well known for his sharp memory and quick wit, he could captivate a room with his stories, leaving behind laughter and fond memories.

Above all, Larry treasured time with his family. In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by his son, Jesse Tice (Brooke) of Torrance, CA; three brothers: Mike Tice (Teresa) of Cleveland, Keith Tice (Paula) of Salineville, Brian Tice (Michelle) of Wellsville; two sisters: Becky West (Roy) of Cleveland, Michelle Johnson (Terry) of Baldwin, MD; and two grandchildren: Natalie and Nolan Tice, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Larry’s legacy of kindness, humor, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
