Due to our family being spread all over America it was hard to stay close but always nice to be able to visit and talk on the phone during the holidays.

My favorite memory is when we spent a few days with Larry at his cabin and he took us on a special tour of Yellowstone National Park.

We got to see sites in the park that most tourists never get to see. He also was able to get us close to a Mama Grizzly Bear and cubs, Buffalo, and Elk.

During our drive thru the park I saw the Antlers of an Elk and Larry and I were able to get within 20 yards of the Elk in the timber and then hearing a lone wolf let out a howl.

We both looked at each other and we both knew how much we appreciate the wilderness and Gods animals.

He also set me straight with a stern talk about wondering off and not having Bear Spray.

Guess I am used to Iowa woods where we don’t have Bears that can give us a work out.

To my favorite park ranger, I will love and miss you cousin and you will always be in my memories.

Dad still remembers the trip to Gods country and all the sights but mostly the time spent on the front porch of the cabin and talks about times past in Albuquerque.

To all the family, so sorry for your loss.  It isn't easy saying goodbye to love ones. but know you are in my prayers and thoughts.

I haven't seen Larry for quite a few years.  He is my first cousin.  His father Jim and my father Don were brothers.  I remember growing up with him and John being around my oldest brothers.  we weren't necessarily close, but we are family.
