Larry Raymond O'Neil, born August 6th, 1946 died suddenly in his home on March 9th, 2024. He was 77 years old.
Larry, known as “Odee” to his friends, led a very eventful life! He graduated from Amery High School in 1964. After graduation, he joined the Navy where he played football for the Guam Bulldogs. Once he got out of the Navy, he became a PE/Health teacher and assistant football coach at Memorial High School in Eau Claire, WI. In his spare time, he became a Statistician for the UWEC Blugolds men's basketball team. He was a Sales Representative for Phillip Morris for 26 years. O’Dee was an athlete! He played basketball, baseball, golf, and was a lifeguard. He leaves behind teammates of all sports.
In his retirement, he played golf nearly every day, where he won a large number of golfing events and tournaments, including multiple club championships.
He is survived and will be missed by his sister, Peggy O'Neil and 3 nephews Jeremy, Jason, and Jesse Wilson. His daughter, Kari Rae (Ryan), and 5 grandkids, Dylan, Chase, Gavin, Kassie, and Mack. His son, Michael Larry. He also is survived by special friend, Kammy Litzer (Robby, Michelle, Dakota, AJ, Jaxon Litzer and Amy Litzer).
He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Velera and Claude O'Neil, and ex-wife Beverly O’Neil.
There will be a Celebration of Life open house held at the Bungalow Inn, at 1151 Rivercrest Rd N, Lakeland, MN 55043, on May 2nd, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm. Contribute
