Larry's obituary
Larry was born to Ronald and JoAnn Davenport on August 26th, 1961. He is reunited in death with his father, Ron and grandparents.
He is survived by his beloved mother, JoAnn, also of Arcola. He will be dearly missed by his sister, Debbie Yonke and husband Steve, his brother Wesley, his nieces, Aubrey Brock and husband Josh, Stephanie Anderson and husband Andy, Allie Jackson and husband Colton. Larry is also lovingly remembered by his cherished great nephew, Grady.
Larry was an example to us all of joyful living, and childlike faith. We want his celebration of life to model those things. Larry served as a Commander in his church, First Assembly of God’s Royal Rangers program. Serving families and the Lord through Royal Rangers was Larry's greatest passion and purpose. Larry would have celebrated 30 years as a commander in Royal Rangers this fall.
Join us to remember and celebrate the life of Larry W. Davenport on Tuesday, August 18th at 5:00 pm at First Assembly of God, 1400 W. Washington Center Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Royal Rangers program at First Assembly of God.
To ensure the health and safety of all, and especially Larry’s mom JoAnn, we will not be having a visitation or receiving line. Instead, we will have memory note cards available. Please join us in leaving a note with a favorite memory and we will put these in a scrapbook for JoAnn to keep.
Thank you to everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers,
The Davenport and Yonke Families
