Larry's obituary

Larry Douglas Dallenbach, 66, of Arlington, IA died at the comfort of his own home surrounded by family and friends on October 23, 2018. Larry was born October 8, 1952 in the city of Oelwein to Lowell Dean Dallenbach and Suzanne (Silka) Dallenbach. Larry married Andrea (Allen) Dallenbach on August 9, 1975 at the Oelwein Church of Christ.

Larry graduated from Starmont high school in 1970 and attended both Kirkwood and Calmar colleges focusing on farm management. After spending several years raising livestock and trucking, he found his niche in massage therapy and started “Dallenbach Brothers Massage Therapy” with his brother, Lee, in Arlington. Larry was a member and elder at the Arlington Church of Christ, a member of the Iowa State Therapeutic Massage Board, and a founding member of the Kids & Puppets for Christ. He loved working with stained glass, landscaping, and spending endless hours talking, sharing, laughing with and encouraging all his clients before, during, and after their massage appointments.

Larry is survived by his wife Andrea Dallenbach of 43 years; two daughters, Amanda (Chuck) Ryan of Zearing, IA and Elizabeth (Lewis) Hoskins of Zumbro Falls, MN.; two brothers Bill(Rozanne) Dallenbach, Lee (Randy) Dallenbach and sister Amy (Rex) Moore. Larry’s 6 grandchildren are Lantz and Liberty Hoskins and Parker, Benjamin, Olivia, and Luke Ryan. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Larry was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone.

A special thank you to the people of Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards the Arlington Ambulance Service for being very accommodating and helpful during this difficult time.

Memorial donations may be made to NEICSC.
