Larry's obituary

Larry Jude Daigrepont, 69, of Metairie, LA entered peacefully into eternal rest at his home on Saturday, March 9, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born on September 18, 1954 to the late Alvin Joseph Daigrepont and Stella Barrere Daigrepont. Beloved husband of Sandra J. Daigrepont, father to Jennifer Lynn (Grady) and Stephanie Jane (Kent), and grandfather to Eloise Elisabeth. He leaves behind a number of loved ones including siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved dog, Scrappy.

Throughout his life, Larry developed a love for travel. He enjoyed taking his girls on adventures and exploring new places. He spent his free time traveling throughout the Caribbean, Mexican, Hawaiian, and Alaskan coastlines. His most cherished memories were marking 48 years of marriage to his beloved wife, watching his girls graduate from college, meeting his first grandchild, Eloise, and spending time with family and friends.

A special thanks to the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center and Heart of Hospice for providing amazing care to Larry during his final days.

A private cremation will be held at Garden of Memories in Metairie, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation with family at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 10021 Jefferson Highway, River Ridge, LA on Saturday, April 6, 2024, starting at 10:15 AM followed by a memorial mass at 12 PM. A reception for family and friends will be held at his home following mass. Please join family to celebrate the wonderful life of such a beloved husband, father and friend. Forever in our hearts.
