Larry's obituary
Larry Coffman, born January 31, 1942, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023. A man of exceptional kindness, gentleness, caring nature, humorous spirit, and adventurous character, Larry will forever be remembered as a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marthalyn Coffman, his children, Sandy Coffman, Pearl Coffman, and Eric Coffman, his daughters-in-law, Jessica Smith and Shanna Carrizales, and his son-in-law, Jason Smith. Larry's legacy continues in his grand-children: Fallon Carrizales, Brandon Carrizales, and Garrett Smith. He is pre-deceased by his parents, William and Peggy Coffman.
A Celebration of Life for Larry will take place on July 8, 2023, at 3:30 PM at St. Jude Catholic Church. This will serve as a time for all those who loved him to remember and celebrate the wonderful man Larry was.
Known for his love of hamburgers and hotdogs, an ice-cold Coke, and The Beatles, Larry was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching Two and a Half Men and was an ardent fan of the Texas Rangers. His favorite games were board games played with his grandkids, and he cherished spending time on the lake. Larry's favored vacation spot was Nevada, and he had an affinity for the color royal blue.
He often shared his mantra of living every day like it's your last and always having fun, inspiring those around him to embrace life and the joy it brings. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, often cited as his greatest achievement and testament to his character. Larry leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.
All who knew Larry will miss his unique ability to light up any room. His memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration for his loved ones. Rest in peace, Larry. Your spirit lives on in the hearts of those you've touched.
