Wishing you the sparkle and brightness of all the stars up above Larry! Thank you for sharing with us your love of the heavens above. Miss you!!!
I know you're out there somewhere Larry, so I'm writing this directly to you! What I appreciated and amazed me about you Larry, and what made you different from most people I know was your unwavering patience, especially when explaining astronomy and helping me and so many others learn more about the night sky. My family and I are great admirers who are thankful for the patience you showed to us and so many others as you taught and we learned about the night sky. What a wonderful gift you have given us all! When I look up at the night sky, I will always think of you and your gracious generosity. Thank you Larry!

My favorite memories are of sleeping out on the front lawn on Climax Rd. Amanda was still Mandy, there were plenty of cats for all. Larry was pretty proud that Mandy "trained the cats to sleep in sleeping bags" and she generously supplied a cat for each guest. Fun days. With who else but the inimitable Larry Brown

Larry and Janie let us know that just because they moved to California didn’t mean they stopped being Rangers fans. We had such fun cheering on the Rangers to the World Series and finally winning it!!

Larry loved his dogs and his niece, Rhonda, and nephew, Ray.
One of my favorite stories that my Dad used to tell was of a time that the circus came to town when he was a kid. It was a wonderful show and he and his two older brothers returned home eager to try out some of the stunts that they had seen. The one that particularly stood out was of a little guy standing on one end of a seesaw and two big guys jumping on the other end. Of course, my Dad was the little guy. As the story goes, Bobby and Hallum launched him over the barn and there may have been a couple of broken bones involved. He had so many good "Texas tall tales" from growing up in rural Texas.

I had only four takers for this years hike ranging from 67 to 80; all returned healthy and happy even after waving off the rescue helicopter that flew over us.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
