This has been a long couple years for all of us - and it was especially so for Mom. She and Joe both loved people, being active in their church, book clubs, going out to eat (and knowing every restaurant worker), watching the Braves on TV, and family. Staying quarantined had very real emotional and physical side effects. In the end, she passed peacefully with family in the room.
Brightmoor Hospice was absolutely wonderful in making Mom as comfortable as possible. Thank you to all of the friends that stopped by to say hello. I would like to thank Annie for coming to read to Mom every week.Thanks to Tony and Jane for coming to visit and checking in. Thanks to the St. Bede's group that Mom was a part of and loved. (She accidentally added it to her calendar a while back as St. Needs and kept it that way because she needed them.)
