Larinda's obituary
Larinda loved many things in life but birds and the environment were two of the biggest. One of her greatest trips was with birding friends to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. She was always emphasizing the importance of recycling and reusing to anyone who would listen.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, Wisconsin with a degree in Microbiology. She went on to work at the Environmental Protection Agency for 27 years.
Larinda was always very active in her church community. She attended services and bible classes regularly while able and volunteered in a variety of positions. Most notably, it was at one of these bible studies where she met her husband Joe.
Books of any genre and book clubs were another love shared by Larinda and her husband Joseph. They were members of a couple book clubs and could regularly be heard ‘discussing’ the finer plot points and characters. Their home was a veritable free book library offering children and guests an opportunity to borrow a new title or author.
She also loved being around her family and especially hosting the holidays. She was happiest when all three of her daughters were home at the same time, able to share in family stories, card games, and laughter.
