Lanie's obituary

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Lanie Johns. Lanie was born on April 6, 1978, and passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. A beacon of warmth, generosity, and passion, Lanie's radiant spirit and resolute strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Lanie was predeceased by her beloved mother, Kay Johns, and is survived by her father, Greg Johns. As a devoted daughter, one of Lanie’s most profound accomplishments was caring for her mother in her time of need. Her tender, nurturing nature was a testament to the bond they shared, and will forever be remembered as a prime example of her selflessness.

Aside from being a devoted member of her family, Lanie was an exceptionally gifted pianist and piano teacher. Her music touched the hearts of many and inspired countless students to harness their talent and passion for the art. Her love of music will echo forever in the melodies she composed and shared with the world.

Lanie firmly believed in the importance of loving and respecting our planet and our family. She continuously conveyed these values through her actions and teachings. Her conviction and passion for these beliefs have left an indelible mark on those around her.

During the hardest of times, Lanie's strength and inspiring persona shone the brightest, setting an example for all and shaping her legacy. Her resilience will continue to inspire those who knew her and will be a guiding light during dark times.

In keeping with Lanie’s love for our planet, in lieu of flowers, we kindly ask you to consider making a donation to the "Arbor Day Foundation". Fundraising efforts are currently being held at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of….

Lanie's departure has left a void that will never be filled, but the lessons she taught us and the love she shared will forever be a part of us. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
