LaNell was the quintessential older sister to my best friend Dan, her brother, loving, giving, fiercely loyal, and always protective. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.
I asked mom if she could stop…
2022, Holton, KS, USA
I asked mom if she could stop and pick up a mirror I bought over in Holton off of Facebook marketplace. She replies back with you can just have one of mine so you don't have to spend your money on one, then proceeds to send me pictures of my "options" from her house. She would give her kids the mirrors off her walls and the clothes off her back. I thank God I have the generous heart of my mother. I may be poor in the way of money but I am rich in the way of the soul.

Mom and Gregory.

I am so thankful for having these videos. I've learned very quickly in the past few days that mom was good at so many things but may have been an expert at being the one behind the phone TAKING THE PICTURE, instead of being IN THE PICTURE. If you have photos of mom, please share them with us! ♥️

Sis, you are forever in my heart. You are with me every day while having our coffee. I talk to you as if you were here. I have so many wonderful memories of you, (us) together! Our saying to each other was, Forever and Always no matter what. We were two peas in a pod. Always finishing each other’s sentences. You will forever be my sis and best friend. I love you so much sis!! Your sis, Cathy

I have many great memories of your family coming to the farm and playing together.  We know LaNell is in heaven joining the great cloud of witnesses  that have gone before .  We sorrow on earth but wait the day we will all be joined  with them.   May  the Lord comfort your hearts at this time of sadness  but knowing LaNell is in a good place  with the Lord.   In that we can be blessed.

Good bless and comfort your hearts

So sorry for your loss.  I grew up with LaNell.  We use to spend the night together often.  And when your grandparents went to bed we use to make chef boyardee cheese pizza usually around midnight.  LaNell and I use to dream about going to Hawaii.  So happy she got to go.  We use to love to play outside and that we were dating Elvis Presley.  Your grandparents also let us play in the car and pretend that we were driving some place.  We enjoyed riding horses together with Mudball  and Flicka.  Also took many adventures on our bikes.  After the stock car races we all went out the next day and hunted for money under the grandstands.  And then bought candy with money.  We enjoyed going to swim lessons together.  And our parents took turns taking us to Atkinson.  We were also part of a 4H club and enjoyed baking and sewing then take it to the County Fair and win Ribbons.  In High School we had fun hanging out and going to parties in our wilder days.  Your mom was so awesome.  I enjoyed keeping in contact with her on Facebook!  I loved seeing her pictures she shared of her family and she loved squirrels.  I will miss seeing her morning walks and showing what she accomplished and the verses she shared.   She often would give me words of encouragement when I needed it.  I will miss her but I know she is in a better place and with our Heavenly Father.  Again so sorry for loss.  All my love.  Marlene Hoffman Adams
