I graduated from CSUF with Lance in 1977-we even sat together at the ceremony. We were both history majors and had several classes together.  I’ve thought of him over the years, even trying to find him on line, but I spelled his name incorrectly. I just came across the graduation program yesterday as I was going through a trunk, and I found him on the list. It was shocking to come across this obituary, and I wish I had figured out a way to chat with him sooner. I remember him making me laugh and vice versa, because we were both smart alecks. I’m sorry to hear his health wasn’t good.  Thank you for letting me share.

I rode the train almost daily with Lance in the 90s on my commute to Los Angeles.  I loved his humor and wit. I’m so sorry the world has lost such a kind soul.

My father worked with Lance for several years when I was a young girl. He often would keep me company while dad worked. He would tells me about his travels and enjoyments in life.  He was a fun, entertaining, warm and a well loved gentleman. He was the highlight of every Friday afternoon. He will be missed but not forgotten. Rest well, my friend.

Thank you for the lovely and loving remembrance of my cousin. He was one of my favorite people when I was a little child, and as an adult I enjoyed the times we visited. He was a great dancer, fun, loud, and engaging. I don't know if he knew how funny he was. I wish I had spent more time with him over the last few years, and that's my fault. I am happy to have his cat, Misha, with me now, who is happy and settling in. Rest In Peace, Lance.
