Lance's obituary
Lance Alexander Drewek (40) passed away on December 29th, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding, CA, after suffering from a stroke he could not recover from.
Lance was born on January 25th, 1982 to Steven and Linda (Hart) Drewek. He grew up in Redding, CA and graduated from Enterprise High School in 2000. He welcomed his first son, Adam Skye Drewek, in July 2001. Lance worked several different jobs from retail, surveying and in the more recent years, was managing/operating the family business Cresons Mattress Gallery. Through out the years he made many friends and met his wife, Robin (Wakai). They married in May 2013 after dating for several years and welcomed their son Mace Drewek the following July.
Lance loved sports and was an involved athlete in his younger days. He was a big SF Giants fan and an even bigger Manchester United fan. Soccer and golf were two of his favorite passions and hobbies. He also loved all genres of music and fantasy.
Lance had a big heart and an exuberant personality, that made a significant impact on many people's lives. His ability to strike up and carry a conversation with anyone is unmatched, along with his infectious laugh and tenacity for life. He was always looking on the bright side of things and knew how to have fun in any environment. He loved spending time with his family and friends, many of which he considered family as well. He was a great son, brother, friend and a wonderful father to his sons.
Lance is survived by his wife Robin (Wakai) Drewek; his sons, Adam Skye Drewek and Mace Drewek; his mother Linda (Hart) Drewek; his brothers Travis (Hannah) Drewek and Shane Bruce and their respective families; his mother-in-law Cynthia Wakai; Robin's siblings and their respective families; as well as many extended family members, both in Redding and Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his father, Steven Allen Drewek, along with both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A service will be held on March 11th, 2023 at Enterprise High School in Redding, CA, with a reception to follow at his childhood home. Immediate family may be contacted for specific details. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a cause that is close to your heart, in honor of Lance's memory.
