Lance's obituary
Lance "LJ" Davis Jr. passed away on October 28, 2022 at the age of 28.
His wings were ready but out hearts were not.
Lance K. Davis Jr. was born on September 19, 1994 to Lance K. Davis Sr. and Tonya (Teague) Collins in West Covina, California. As a child he was rambunctious, energetic, and loving. He was very protective of his family and those he held close to his heart. Lance was a natural athlete and excelled in Track and Football. In 2012 he graduated from Eastside High School. He found his passion in drawing and at one point wanted to be an architect. But he was destined to leave his permanent art on many as he mastered his skill as a passionate and phenomenal Tattoo Artist. Some of Lance’s favorite activities were reading, drawing, playing video games, and if you really knew him...then you already know what else.
One of Lance's happiest moments was when his son Lorenzo was born. Lance enjoyed being a father and spending time with his son. Lorenzo meant the world to him and he gave Lorenzo all of him.
Lance never met a stranger; he was a loving, genuine person with a charismatic personality, who showed loved to everyone. He had a heart of gold. Our family was not expecting Lance Jr.'s life to be cut so short so soon. We are devastated and will feel the absence of Lance Jr. forever. We take comfort in knowing his energy is around each and every one of us. Before Lance Jr. completely left this world he gave the gift of life by donating his Heart, Liver, and Kidneys. He will be forever missed and forever in our hearts.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard His call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me
God wanted me now; He set me free.
