Lanh Thi's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lanh Thi Luong, who passed on October 1st at the age of 82, in San Francisco, California. Lanh Thi Luong was loved by many, and she is survived by her daughter Elyssa, five grandchildren Susanna, Derrick, Dennis, Jacky, and Stephanie, two great-grandchildren Jace and Belle, and countless friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, loyalty, and love.
Lanh Thi Luong was born in February of 1941 in China. At a young age, she immigrated to Vietnam with her family, and later, to the United States with her own family. She raised her daughter in San Francisco and lived in the Richmond District for most of her life.
To many, including her family, she will be remembered for her fierce nature. Her steadfast loyalty to family, and her beliefs made her the unique and caring person that she was. Her desire to live a vibrant life came out through the love and care for her grandchildren. As a grandparent, she wore many hats. From chef to couture fashion designer, Lanh Thi Luong shared her deep love with delicious meals that warmed our hearts, and protected us with one of a kind clothing by "Lady Lanh Thi Luong Designs" that were often modeled in San Francisco for our very own photoshoot. Simply put, we will miss her laughter, her passion, and most of all her love.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 9-11am at Evergreen Mortuary in the Richmond District of San Francisco. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Colma.
Condolences and memories can be shared on this Ever Loved website. We would like to express our gratitude for your condolences and comforting words.
She is dearly missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
Much love,
Lanh Thi Luong Family
