Lamar Remon “Mony” Castleberry Parker, Age 65, of Madison, TN, passed away at her residence on January 30, 2026.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Gilbert and Louise Hilliard and Orlis and Belle Castleberry; cousin, Marcia Dawn DePriest and Michael Lee True; mother-in-law, Sharon Parker; stepbrother, Terry True; father, Luther Martin Castleberry; and her stepfather, Pat True.

She is survived by the love of her life for over 35 years, Kenny Parker; wonderful son, Michael Shayne Thigpen; and her fur baby, Roscoe P. Coletrain. Survived by her mom, Ruth True; sisters, LaRhonda (Michael) Rizor, Renae LeRoy, Patti (Ken) Scott, and Christie True; father-in-law, Ray Parker; brother-in-law, Shannon Parker and numerous cousins, and many nieces, including Juliana, her chosen daughter, and nephews including, Austin Parker.

Mony was a vibrant, caring soul and fiercely protective of her loved ones. She'd give you the shirt off her back in a heartbeat. Singing was one of her greatest loves, and she was an accomplished songwriter, and musician. She had a Magical way of making everyone feel special, no matter their background. One of the most playful people you'd ever meet, with no shortage of GREAT bad jokes, you could follow a trail of laughter and find Mony at the center… every time.

She was a caregiver for Kenny’s Granny and Kenny’s mom, Sharon, and several others. Her specialty was cooking holiday meals for her homeless friends. Loved the Elks Lodge #2473 as a loyal Elkette.

Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, on Friday, February 6, from 4pm-8pm and again on Saturday, February 7, from 12-2pm. A service will be held on Saturday, February 7, at 2pm in our chapel. Pastor Dee Jay Shoulders will be officiating.
