Auntie Ellen and my dearest cousins and families, my heartful condolences for the lost of our beloved Kresho. My prayers are with you all. Kresho was one the kindest people I know. I remembered when I first came to Canada, he came to visit us the next day, he gave me a big hug and tucked $100 in my hand and then took me out for my first experience at McDonaldโs. I had the McChicken meal and remembered how my taste buds reacted to such delicious food, still loves McDonaldโs. On that day I learned the value of making someone feel special. I have been paying it forward since. His goodness will remain alive in our hearts.
Below is one of my favorite songs.
โThe Gardenโ written and performed by Jimmy Scott
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane
Weโd walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone
For part of us went with you the day God called you home
God looked around his garden and he found an empty place
Then he looked down upon the earth and he saw your precious face
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest
Godโs garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best
We knew that you were suffering โ we knew you were in pain
We knew youโd never get well on this earth again
So he closed your weary eyes and he whispered โPeace be thineโ
Then he took you up to heaven so gentle and so kind.
Rest in peace my cousin.
