Kyleigh's obituary

Kyleigh Leann Rampley passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the tender age of 14 after succumbing to injuries sustained from an accident. Kyleigh was born on March 30, 2009, in Fort Payne, AL. She resided in Centre, AL for most of her life before moving to Rome. Kyleigh was beloved by many.

She is survived by her mother, Mallory Rampley of Rome; her father, Justin Cunningham (Sam) of Centre, AL; her grandparents, Jeff and Marcell Rampley of Rome; her great-grandparents, Doyle and Mary Ann Barker Jackson of Cave Spring; her aunt, Morgan Rampley (Curt Tucker); her cousins, Kade Kuykendall, Rhett Richardson of Cedar Bluff, AL, Baylee & Dalon Tucker, as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins and chosen family. Kyleigh was preceded in death by her great-grandparents; Melba Rampley Franklin, Glen Rampley, and Lonnie Barker all of Rome, and Katherine Jordan and her grandmother Karen Jordan of Centre.

Kyleigh had just completed 7th grade at Pepperell Middle School in Lindale, GA where she was a member of the Cross Country and Soccer Teams. This was her first year at PMS, but she made an impact on many in such a short time. She will be remembered by her peers and friends as being silly, kind, accepting, protective, and as one of her teachers said, "unapologetically Kyleigh". She was full of energy and personality, and she had a smile that was contagious. Kyleigh was a member of State Line Baptist Church where she recently accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was baptized. Her testimony is simply to say that Jesus loves you no matter what.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons South Chapel, Lindale, GA on Sunday, June 4 from 2pm to 3:45pm with a celebration of Kyleigh's life to follow at 4pm in the Chapel. Rev. Chris Hearne and Rev. Jeff Davis will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to State Line Baptist Church, 8536 Blacks Bluff Road, SW, Cave Spring, GA 30124.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.
