Kyle's obituary

A son, father, and brother, Kyle Christopher Todd of Mobile, Alabama, tragically passed away on July 25, 2025.

In early years, Kyle enjoyed playing outside with his brother who many mistook as his twin, with a name like Lyle. They also enjoyed the millennial golden era of video games, and the two would even let their baby sister “Desy” watch. If they were feeling particularly gracious, they might even let her stumble through. Kyle always enjoyed time spent with his close-knit family whether it was the epic annual Todd family trips to Disney World, or Friday family movie night with trips to the forgotten Blockbuster.

In 2006 he visited Hawaii with Jessica Fultz, the mother of his children, a place many people only dream about in their lifetime. In 2009 he welcomed his first child and son, Benjamin David Todd. In 2010, his beautiful baby girl and namesake, Georgia Kylie Todd, completed his family.

In later times, Kyle lived a very hard life. But he had a driven passion for helping others going through similar struggles. He would make up essential bags for the homeless and give them out, and constantly felt called to do more. Kyle will be remembered for his easy intelligence, gifted throwing skills, quick wit, and passion for God.

Kyle was predeceased by his maternal grandfather: Wyman Wray Wyers; his paternal grandparents Linda Gayle Boykin and Leon Todd Jr.; all dearly missed who have already received Kyle in glorified peace.

He is survived by his father, Kevin Leon Todd, and mother, Anita Wyers Todd; his children, Benjamin David Todd and Georgia Kylie Todd; his maternal grandmother, Sylvia Jane Wyers; his brother, Kevin Lyle Todd, his sister, Destiny Todd Cunningham, and brother-in-law, James Tyler Cunningham; two nieces and nephew, as well as many other dear family and friends.

To be born a Todd is to love and be loved wholly, loyally, and unconditionally. Kyle gave and received this love all his life. As his mother, Anita Todd, states in her beautiful tribute poem below, the Todd family may have lost a heavy branch that can never be replaced. But, Kyle wanted the tree to keep growing in grace and love. Through Christ who strengthens, they shall.

The family is choosing to grieve privately at this time. We ask in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity near and dear to Kyle’s heart: the Salvation Army.

Psalm 30:5

“Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning.”
