Kyle's obituary

Kyle Vincent Powers, 28, passed away on November 12, 2019. Kyle was born on March 28, 1991 in Wichita, Kansas, to Shane Powers and Tina Montgomery Brown. His smile was bright, his heart was big, and his fun and positive personality was contagious everywhere he went. He lit up a room and was the life of the party. Kyle was an avid reader, a lover of sports, music, space and his pets. Kyle didn’t know a stranger. He made friends instantly and could talk his way out of any conflict. Kyle attended Benton Elementary, Wilbur Middle School, Northwest High School, and Butler Community College. He was the captain of the Northwest Wrestling team, and a fan of Michigan Football, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Denver Broncos. Kyle worked at Texas Roadhouse for 7 years, where he was known for his infectious smile, amazing personality, and line dancing skills. This made him a guest favorite at both locations.
Kyle was preceded in death by grandparent Lyle A. Powers Jr. He is survived by his mother Tina Montgomery Brown and step-father, Mike Brown, along with father Shane Powers and mother, Michelle Powers; siblings Taryn and Sarah Powers, Tyanna Powers, Sydney Sherman, Lauren Kennard, and Danielle Brown; grandparents Brenda and Roe Hicks, and Fred and Glenda Smith, Jon and Joyce Gouge and Dru and Becky Montgomery; as well as great grandmas Betty Montgomery and Edna Edgmon.
A viewing and celebration of life service will be held at Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N Meridian Ave., Wichita KS, 67204. The viewing will be at 1:30pm and the service will be at 3:00pm.
