Our beloved friend and colleague, Kyle Ellington passed away on January 21st surrounded by family. Kyle is preceded in death by his father Willard and is survived by his beloved mother Julia and brother Eric, along with many friends and family members.

Kyle attended the University of Georgia where he achieved a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Education and Organizational Development. He was a diehard Bulldogs fan and traveled the country to watch his team play.

After college, Kyle had a distinguished career in professional sports serving as the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for the Oakland A's and previously as the Director of Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion for the Sacramento Kings. As a workplace advocate, Kyle championed the power of inclusion, mentorship, and personal connection and developed a number of DEI programs and initiatives that will live on in his memory.

The Sacramento Kings and Oakland A's will partner to host a Celebration of Life in Kyle's honor on Wednesday, February 22nd from 6PM - 8PM at Golden 1 Center. Friends and Family are welcome to attend. For those who are unable we invite you to share your memories and condolences on this site.
