Kurt's obituary
Dear friends and family,
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Kurt Allen Duty, who departed this life on May 14th, 2025. He was born on October 3rd, 1969, to Gay Allen Duty.
Kurt dedicated 23 years of his life as a Real Estate Broker, working alongside his partner in both life and work, Rocio. He adored his career as he felt lucky to be able help individuals and families achieve their dreams of owning a home. Every client he served left a lasting impression on him, and his work was a constant source of immense pride and fulfillment.
Kurt defined himself by 3 things: Husband, Father, and DC Sports Fan. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. And he prided himself in being a lifelong supporter of the Capitals, Commanders (HTTR!!! HTTC?), Nationals and Wizards.
He was known for his kind heart and his unique sense of humor. Kurt's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Kurt is survived by his beloved wife, Rocio; his children, Diego, Christina, and Emilio; and his grandchildren, River and Liam.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31st from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, located at 5121 Woodland Way, Annandale, VA 22003. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream and recorded service will be available for free access.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Kurt's life and honoring his memory.
